Sentence - Chapter-1

 What is Sentence?

A group of words which makes complete sense is called a Sentence. 

முழுமையான அர்த்தமுள்ள வார்த்தைகளின் குழு வாக்கியம் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

There are four Kinds of Sentences

1. DECLARATIVE OR ASSERTIVE SENTENCE

Those which make statement or assertions.

அறிக்கை அல்லது வலியுறுத்தல்களை செய்பவர்கள்

e.g.,  Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

2. INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE

Those which  ask questions

கேள்வி கேட்பவர்கள்.

e.g., What are you doing?

3. IMPERATIVE SENTENCE 

Those which express command, request or entreaties.

கட்டளை, கோரிக்கை அல்லது வேண்டுகோளை வெளிப்படுத்துபவை

e.g., Go and stand there 

        Excuse me , May I COME IN .

4. EXCLAMATORY  SENTENCE  

Those which express  strong feelings.

வலுவான உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்துபவர்கள்.

e.g.,  What a shame !                                                    

        How cold the night is!

Here are examples of sentences using "can" and "could" to illustrate their usage: "Can" Examples: Ability: She can swim very well. I can play the guitar. Permission: Can I use your phone to make a call? You can go out with your friends after you finish your homework. Possibility: It can rain later today. There can be unexpected delays during your journey. Requests: Can you please pass me the salt? Can you lend me a hand with this heavy box? "Could" Examples: Past Ability: When I was younger, I could run very fast. He could speak multiple languages fluently. Polite Requests: Could you turn down the volume, please? Phrases and Clauses - Chapter 3

 What is phrases? A group of words, which makes sense, but not completes sense, is called a phrase. அர்த்தமுள்ள, ஆனால் முழுமையான அர்த்தமில்லாத சொற்களின் குழு, சொற்றொடர் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. e.g., in a corner ., It was a sunset of great beauty. The sun rises in the east. What is Clauses? A group of words which forms part of a sentence, and contains a subject and predicate, is called a clause. ஒரு வாக்கியத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியை உருவாக்கும் மற்றும் ஒரு பொருள் மற்றும் முன்னறிவிப்பைக் கொண்டிருக்கும் சொற்களின் குழு ஒரு உட்பிரிவு என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. e.g.,.
