What is Sentence?

A group of words which makes complete sense is called a Sentence.

முழுமையான அர்த்தமுள்ள வார்த்தைகளின் குழு வாக்கியம் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

There are four Kinds of Sentences

1. DECLARATIVE OR ASSERTIVE SENTENCE

Those which make statement or assertions.

அறிக்கை அல்லது வலியுறுத்தல்களை செய்பவர்கள்

e.g., Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

2. INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE

Those which ask questions

கேள்வி கேட்பவர்கள்.

e.g., What are you doing?

3. IMPERATIVE SENTENCE

Those which express command, request or entreaties.

கட்டளை, கோரிக்கை அல்லது வேண்டுகோளை வெளிப்படுத்துபவை

e.g., Go and stand there

Excuse me , May I COME IN .

4. EXCLAMATORY SENTENCE

Those which express strong feelings.

வலுவான உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்துபவர்கள்.

e.g., What a shame !

Examples of sentences using "shall" and "should"

What is phrases? A group of words, which makes sense, but not completes sense, is called a phrase. அர்த்தமுள்ள, ஆனால் முழுமையான அர்த்தமில்லாத சொற்களின் குழு, சொற்றொடர் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. e.g., in a corner ., It was a sunset of great beauty. The sun rises in the east. What is Clauses?
