Main Verb & Auxiliary verb with Examples | Chapter 7 | Part 1

 Verbs are classified into two categories   based on their functions.

வினைச்சொற்கள் அவற்றின் செயல்பாடுகளின் அடிப்படையில் இரண்டு வகைகளாக வகைப்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.

Main Verb and Auxiliary or helping verb

Main Verb or Principal Verbs

Examples:

run, dance, eat, work, play etc

Auxiliary or helping verbs

Example

Be (is, are, am, was, were)

  Have (has, had)

  Can (could)

  Do (does, did) etc.

Simple past

Simple past participles as those verb that are used with “have” in perfect tense and with “be” in passive constructions.

எளிய கடந்த கால பங்கேற்புகள், வினைச்சொல்லாக "have" உடன் சரியான நேரத்தில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் மற்றும் செயலற்ற கட்டுமானங்களில் "be" உடன் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது

Example:

*They have laughed for fun

*The thief has caught

Simple present

Simple present tense expressed something that happens often in the present

நிகழ்காலத்தில் அடிக்கடி நடக்கும் ஒன்றை எளிய நிகழ்காலம் வெளிப்படுத்தியது

Example

Children laugh heart fully

Past Participle

Past participle is used to talk about a completed action in a time before now.

இப்போது ஒரு காலத்தில் முடிக்கப்பட்ட செயலைப் பற்றி பேசுவதற்கு எளிய கடந்த காலம் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

Example:

We laughed together yesterday.

Main verbs can be divided into two categories on the basis of how they form the simple past or the past participle.

முக்கிய வினைச்சொற்கள் எளிய கடந்த காலத்தை அல்லது கடந்த பங்கேற்பை எவ்வாறு உருவாக்குகின்றன என்பதன் அடிப்படையில் இரண்டு வகைகளாகப் பிரிக்கலாம்.

Regular Verb

Those verbs whose simple past and past participles are formed by adding ‘d’ and ‘ed’ to the base form, are called Regular verbs.

அடிப்படை வடிவத்தில் 'd' மற்றும் 'ed' ஐச் சேர்ப்பதன் மூலம் எளிய கடந்த மற்றும் கடந்த பங்கேற்புகள் உருவாகும் அந்த வினைச்சொற்கள் வழக்கமான வினைச்சொற்கள் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன.

Irregular Verb 

Irregular verbs are those verbs whose simple past and past participles are formed in variety of ways.

ஒழுங்கற்ற வினைச்சொற்கள், அவற்றின் எளிய கடந்த மற்றும் கடந்த பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் பல்வேறு வழிகளில் உருவாகின்றன.
